Function Enhancement Training (FET)

The left end of our Evolutionary Personal Health Services continuum is focused towards people with significant injuries who are interested in regaining their normal function. Your goal may be to return to work, to return to normal active daily living, to return to sport and recreation or it may be to return to highly competitive sport.

Human Effort's unique approach to Function Enhancement Training (FET) includes:
  • An intensive, flexible, and individualized program
  • An interdisciplinary team approach that includes effective manual physical therapy
  • A totally needs driven program - NO preset programs
  • Scientifically controlled and progressed protocols
  • A focus on restoration and enhancement of function
  • Somatic movement training as necessary
  • Bi-weekly progress reports to medical practitioners or insurance claims managers if necessary
  • Follow up sessions following discharge or further guidance in your evolution along the continuum of evolutionary personal health services

Personal Training

The middle area of our Evolutionary Personal Health Services continuum is focused towards people who are interested in highly personalized and highly supervised training.

To the left of centre is rehabilitative personal training. Do you have a persistent, nagging injury or chronic aches and pains that you would like to have dealt with? Our interdisciplinary team will draw upon their expertise to evaluate and design appropriate training and rehabilitative exercises to address your concerns.

At the centre is personal training for optimal active healthy living. Preventing injury and illness while improving energy, function, and overall health all fall within this range of the continuum. Your specific goals and activity interests will be integrated with your overall lifestyle and daily life demands to allow you to begin on the path of active healthy living.

At the right of centre is personal training for recreational and sport activities. Taking optimal healthy active living one step further is to focus your goals on the recreational or sport specific interests that you have. Would you like to start your training and preparation now for next seasons golfing or skiing or how about slopitch (no really, how may people do you know that pull the old "hammie" at the start of slopitch season EVERY year!). We'll help you prepare.

Maximum Performance Training (MPT)

The right end of our Evolutionary Personal Health Services continuum is focused towards athletes who are interested in achieving maximal performance in their sport. High school athletes aspiring to college, professional or olympic level sport will benefit from MPT. How about you weekend warriors. Those thirty, forty or maybe even fifty something athletes who have been career bound (and likely desk bound) for a number of years and are wanting to get back into sport or recreational activities at a competitive or semi-competitive level.

You may approach this on your own or with a group or friends or teammates. The focus will be on increasing your strength, power, speed, quickness or endurance and then effectively transferring those qualities to your sport or activity performance. The keys to MPT are qualified and experienced individuals who design and monitor your training programs based on the most rigorous science, your individual needs and, of course, maximum safety.
